Every action of mankind is motivated either by the pursuit of money or service to God.
When money becomes the motive and driving force of your life you are bound to fall into temptations that will eventually lead to ruin and destruction.
God is not against money or you being wealthy, on the contrary; 3 John 1-2 says: "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth". God is interested in the all round prosperity of your life, I.e. in your soul, your health, your finances. God is just against you serving money and this happens when your focus, cravings and desires begins to deviate from the pursuit of the things of God.
When you don't make money your primary aim and focus on chasing God, money will eventually chase you- Mattew 6:33- _But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well".
But if you chase money, money will always outrun you as Ecclesiastes 5:10 teaches us: " He who loves money will not be satisfied with money; nor he who loves wealth with gain: this also is vanity.
What is your motive?
